WestSurDel 18-Wheeler Rally 2010

This year the 18-Wheeler Rally will be hosted by 10th Sur Del and held at the LDS Church building at 6270 – 126 St., Surrey on Saturday March 6th for REGISTERED SCOUTS. Weigh in and registration will begin at 12:30 PM and the rally itself will begin as close to 1 PM as possible.

SPORTSMANSHIP and FUN will be the rules of the day for all participants and spectators! Uniforms will be required for all youth and leaders.

The maximum weight and dimensions are outlined in the adopted Rules for the 18-Wheelers. However, NO LUBES will be permitted due to the Church’s policy concerning the building. Dry Graphite may be added once at the Pit Stop. Please have the scouts pre-weigh their trucks and bring them up to as close to the weight as possible before arriving at the event. There will be a pit stop for adjusting the weights to accommodate the official scale. Please have your group bring some tools and weights for the Pit Stop.

Prior to arrival, Groups will be responsible for numbering their participants’ 18-wheelers in permanent marker on the bottom of each truck. The numbering system must include a prefix that identifies the Group. For example, 17th Sur Del might use 17SD as a prefix to the truck number, whereas, 3rd Boundary Bay might use 3BB as a prefix, etc. The second column of the registration form is for listing these pre-assigned numbers against each registrant's name.

Medals will be awarded to the top three in Racing and the top three in Design. It will be a Double Knock-Out System for the races. Racing will be judged by a digital placement track. The Scouts who are entered in the rally will cast their votes for Best Design.

The cost of registration is $4/scout and covers a participant’s crest. Group cheques are made out to WestSurDel Area – Scouts Canada.

Coffee, tea or alcohol is not permitted in the building. And there is no smoking in the building or on the grounds. Thank you.
