Web Site Accounts
- Accounts on this web site are available for area executive, group commissioners and a leader representative from each section.
- All requests for leader accounts should go through your Group Commissioner.
- Scouters with accounts (members) can create articles or events in their group.
- Members can also create blog entries, which will linked to their section's web page (ie the Beavers page).
- Group articles can be set to public or private.
- If you post images to the web site, keep is to a .jpg image of 800x800 or less and keep the total to less than 25 images. If you wish to create a large image gallery, please use Flickr or other image hosting solution.
- Once you have posted an article/image, go and View it on your group or other appropriate web page.
Article Submissions
- You are invited to submit articles for the web site. They can be about your camp or other article related to scouting.
- The web manager typically performs submitted updates within 48 hours (if no editing is required). If you do not hear back within 60 hours, please re-submit your request and include your group (or area) commissioner. Your submission may have been eaten by a spam filter.
- Please submit your content with a title and story as it would appear on the web site. Try and make the story interesting, and graphics/photos help to draw attention to your article.
- When submitting a story, be specific when using dates, as opposed to 'next week'.
- Please ensure that you have permission in writing from parents before submitting photos of youth.
- Submitted photos will be published at 800x800 or less. Please include a title and description for the photo.
- If there are any significant changes to your article, please resubmit the entire article along with any photos. Don't just send the changes.
- When requesting article/photo updates, please specify the complete URL (click title of article and get the web address) of any article you would like updated.
- Where possible, forms will be published as .pdf files.
